As we approach Labor Day, a time to honor individuals’ hard work and achievements, we at A to Z Quality Fencing reflect on a genuinely unique project that holds a special place in our hearts: the Owatonna Prayer Garden. Opened in August 2024, this ongoing endeavor, which has already seen nearly two years of dedication, collaboration, and craftsmanship, stands as a testament to commitment, community, and faith.
The Owatonna Prayer Garden isn’t just another fencing job for us; it is an opportunity to contribute to a cause that transcends the mere installation of a fence. The project organizers designed this serene space to unite the community and offer a peaceful haven for prayer and reflection, a mission we are deeply proud to support.
With approximately 1300 linear feet of industrial-grade aluminum fencing installed and an estimated 2500 linear feet planned upon completion, this project has become a labor of love that aligns with the spirit of servitude and faith.
From the beginning, this journey was about more than just physical boundaries. It was about creating a sanctuary where individuals could find peace and feel closer to God. The incredible support we received from our vendors, who generously donated materials, reminded us of the power of collective effort and shared purpose, amplifying the significance of this project.
We are deeply grateful for the community’s support, our vendors’ generosity, and our team’s hard work. Their dedication and commitment were instrumental in bringing this project to life. Seeing the garden open to the public this August was a moment of triumph and gratitude, marking a significant milestone for Owatonna, the Christian Family Church, and everyone involved in bringing the garden to fruition.
The garden is a testament to a community coming together with a shared vision. While the aluminum fence stands tall and proud, it’s the values of faith, dedication, and unity that indeed frame this space. We are honored to be part of this journey and humbled by the opportunity to contribute to a project that will serve as a haven for reflection for years.
As we celebrate Labor Day, we recognize the hard work that went into this significant project and its profound impact on the community. The Owatonna Prayer Garden is a beautiful reminder that every job, done with heart and purpose, can transform lives and bring people together in meaningful ways. We are proud to be part of this transformative community-building project.

Behind the Fence: Construction Details

Fencing the Owatonna Prayer Garden is a testament to innovative construction techniques and aesthetic design. At the heart of this endeavor is A to Z Quality Fencing’s proprietary No Mess, No Dig Fence Installation Method. This technique ensures minimal disruption to the garden’s environment and avoids conflicts with other contractors, allowing us to maintain the site’s natural beauty while providing robust structural support.
To secure the 8′ industrial ornamental aluminum fence, we employed Schedule 40 posts, which were pounded 6′ into the ground. This depth ensures the stability and durability of the perimeter fencing, which can withstand the elements and provide long-lasting security for the garden.
The fence design incorporated elegant stone pillars around the garden’s perimeter, to which we seamlessly connected the aluminum fence runs.
In keeping with the garden’s serene and natural theme, we used our Modern Aluminum Series fencing with a cedar-simulated wood vinyl inlay to hide the maintenance area. This choice was strategic, offering a harmonious blend of durability and beauty. The simulated wood finish added warmth and complemented the garden’s surroundings while cleverly concealing maintenance equipment, ensuring the garden remains a peaceful sanctuary free from visual distractions.
Through these construction innovations, we have built a fence and contributed to a space that embodies tranquility and brings people closer to God. This labor of love is a testament to faith and purpose, shaping boundaries and lives.
