At A to Z Quality Fencing, our mission is to serve homeowners, businesses, and communities with faith-rooted integrity, treating every customer like family and every project like it’s our own.
We deliver expert fence installations that stand the test of time, backed by values you can trust.
A to Z Quality Fencing began in a garage in West Allis, Wisconsin, as a husband-and-wife team committed to doing things right and delivering high-quality fences with honesty, respect, and expert craftsmanship. The company later moved to Kewaskum, then West Bend, and ultimately settled in Hartford in 2019, where we continue to grow and innovate.
Being family-owned isn’t just a label. It drives how we operate every day. We treat customers like neighbors and build fences as if we’re working in our own backyard. However, what truly sets us apart is our ability to innovate at every turn—designing custom tools, developing more innovative fence installation methods, and enhancing product quality through in-house manufacturing.
One of our most significant breakthroughs is the development of our No-Mess, No-Dig fence installation method. Inspired by the efficiency of post pounding in chain link fencing, we reimagined it to work with vinyl, aluminum, and cedar fencing — materials that traditionally relied on digging and concrete. The result? Straighter, stronger fences with faster installs, zero mess, and no piles of dirt left behind. We’ve been pounding posts for more than a decade and continue to refine our methods today.
In 2012, we launched American Manufactured Vinyl Fence to supply our own projects with contractor-grade materials. In 2020, we rebranded that division as A to Z Fence Supplies and expanded operations to serve other fence professionals with our materials and methods.
When part of our family relocated to Minnesota in 2017, we opened a second location — initially in Lakeville, now in Farmington — allowing us to expand our team, increase manufacturing capabilities, and better serve customers in both states.
In 2025, we introduced a solar-integrated fencing system in partnership with Sol Fence, expanded our contractor training programs, and launched The F-Word: Faith, Family, and Fenceperts. This podcast shares our values and spotlights the people and partners behind our success.
Today, we proudly serve homeowners, businesses, and fellow fence professionals across Wisconsin and Minnesota with the same dedication, faith, and innovation that started it all.
At A to Z Quality Fencing, we don’t just install fences — we improve how fences are installed.
Our exclusive No-Mess, No-Dig™ fence installation method is a cleaner, faster, and more durable alternative to traditional digging and concrete. Instead of tearing up your yard with augers and shovels, we pound galvanized steel posts directly into the ground using specialized equipment. This creates a stronger foundation and eliminates dirt piles, concrete delays, and unnecessary disruption.
Originally developed for chain link fences, we reengineered the method to work seamlessly with vinyl, aluminum, and cedar, making us one of the few fence companies in the country to offer no-dig options for fence installations.
We’ve spent over a decade refining this method, not only to improve your experience, but to raise the standard of fence installation across the industry. Whether you’re building a backyard privacy fence or securing a commercial site, our No-Mess, No-Dig™ system delivers long-term strength without the mess. You get:
They’re part fence whisperer, part project manager, and 100% committed to getting the job done right. A Fencepert™ is trained in our methods, understands our materials inside and out, and knows how to avoid rookie mistakes (like turning your yard into a trench warfare reenactment). They’re here to make sure your fence looks great, lasts long, and goes in without the drama.
Most of the time, it’ll be our dedicated, year-round crew of A to Z Fenceperts™, the same folks who’ve installed hundreds of fences and still somehow like each other. During the busy season, we may call in additional help from trusted contractors who’ve been trained in our tools, techniques, and “don’t wreck the lawn” philosophy. Rest assured, everyone wearing our name follows the same high standards.
Our core team consists of trained employees. But we also believe in multiplying good things, so we train select subcontractors to install our fences using our materials and No-Mess, No-Dig™ methods. Think of them as extended family: not technically on payroll, but they know the rules, respect your property, and care about doing things the A to Z way.
We don’t leave quality to chance or the lowest bidder. From manufacturing many of our materials to utilizing a proven no-dig fence installation method (that doesn’t damage your yard), we’ve developed a system that works. Every Fencepert™ and trained contractor follows the same process, whether we’re installing a fence at your home, farm, or business. Bottom line? We install it like we’d want it done at our own place.
Absolutely. If you’ve worked with us before, or got a glowing review from your neighbor about “Chris and the crew,” just let us know. We’ll do our best to send them your way. If they’re booked, don’t worry – every one of our teams meets the same high bar for professionalism, courtesy, and fence-building skills.
Ah, yes — the classic post-installation dirt pile. A beloved tradition among fence companies… and a top complaint in online reviews.
At A to Z, we believe those days are over. Our No-Mess, No-Dig™ fence installation method means there’s usually no dirt to begin with — no augers, no heaping piles for you to deal with, and no awkward conversations about “where you’d like us to leave the mess.”
If digging is required for gates or special circumstances, we’ll clean up thoroughly and haul the dirt away if you’d like. Either way, you won’t be left with a mountain and a shovel.
Not at all. Each location, Wisconsin and Minnesota, has its own whole team of Fenceperts™, installers, and support staff. We didn’t expand to take on more than we can handle. We expanded to bring A to Z’s quality and service to more backyards. Growth is good, burnout is bad, and we plan accordingly.
We’re always looking for hardworking individuals who want to build fences and careers with pride. Check out the available opportunities.
